Founded by Mahesh Kukreja, a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for real estate, K Group has grown into a dynamic investment platform spanning multifamily, industrial and residential assets. Vishal M. Kukreja

Chief Executive Officer

Vishal Kukreja graduated from the Stern School of Business at NYU in 1996 with a degree in Finance and International Business. He began his career in corporate finance as a financial analyst at Sandler O’Neill & Partners, where he worked for two years.

Seeking to broaden his expertise in real estate, Vishal joined BNS Real Estate, a boutique investment firm in New York City. Over the course of more than five years at BNS, he honed his skills in acquiring distressed properties, adding value, maximizing rent, and managing assets.

In 2003, Vishal joined the family business, focusing on expanding and enhancing the real estate portfolio. At K Group, he is responsible for the procurement and financial management of the company’s diverse real estate holdings. Vishal’s leadership continues to propel K Group toward new heights of achievement.

Tina Kukreja

Chief Financial Officer

In her role as CFO, Tina Kukreja oversees all aspects of human resources and financial operations at K Group. She ensures efficient personnel management and robust financial control, positioning the company for sustained productivity and profitability.

A graduate of NYU with a master’s in education, Tina refined her organizational and problem-solving skills within the education sector prior to joining K Group in 2010.

With her analytical acuity and strong background in project management, Tina has been instrumental in driving K Group’s exponential growth since her arrival. Her strategic approach and meticulous attention to detail have significantly contributed to the company’s success.

Colleen Drewes

Managing Director, Affordable Housing

Colleen Drewes serves as Managing Director of K Group’s affordable multifamily initiatives, having joined the firm in 2025.

She manages key relationships with elected officials, landowners, brokers, attorneys, engineers, and community partners to expand K Group’s affordable housing presence across New Jersey.

Prior to K Group, Colleen held roles with The NRP Group LLC, Community Investment Strategies, Inc. (CIS), NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA), The Cooper Foundation (Cooper University Healthcare), and New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO) contributing significantly to affordable housing development throughout the state.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Colleen earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School. She is active in organizations such as the Affordable Housing Professionals of New Jersey (AHPNJ), the NJ Builders Association, and the Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council.

Apart from her professional activities, Colleen also participates in community work, serving as the Vice Chairwoman and Dinner Chairwoman for the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC) and as well as a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey.

Unnati Mehta

Portfolio Property Manager

Unnati Mehta serves as the anchor of K Group’s property management team, overseeing the daily management needs of the company’s portfolio. With over 20 years of experience, and a remarkable ability to anticipate and address issues before they arise, Unnati ensures each property functions at peak performance. Her strategic oversight continually optimizes asset value while heightening tenant satisfaction and retention across the portfolio.

Mahesh Kukreja

Chairman & Founder

Mahesh Kukreja is the Chairman and Founder of K Group and is also a member of K Group’s advisory board. A seasoned entrepreneur, Mahesh has over 40 years of experience building and leading successful businesses. Born and raised in India, he moved to the U.S. in 1970 and founded Vish Group, a plastic recycling business, in 1979. Renowned for his business acumen and strategic vision, Mahesh founded K Group in 1998 and continues to provide invaluable guidance to the firm. His leadership and expertise play a critical role in shaping the firm’s real estate initiatives, driving growth and long-term value creation.

Shiv Kukreja

Partner & Advisor

Shiv Kukreja is a member of K Group’s advisory board. He brings a wealth of executive experience in consulting, marketing, and finance, along with valuable insights into the family’s business operations. A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and Psychology, Shiv began his career as a financial analyst before joining Vish Group in 2005. As a veteran executive, he has overseen sales, purchasing, and plant management, driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Shiv’s expertise and leadership provide invaluable guidance to K Group, supporting its mission to identify opportunities and achieve success in the real estate sector.
